Confirmation Week Camp

We're so thankful to God for you, that you thought of the Confirmation week. The gift of money made it possible that children could come whose parents are not interested in the Lord.
On April 6-12th we were with 30 children. 12 were from our area, 10 from Szarvas, 5 from Monor, 2 from Cegléd and there was Göllner, András and Adámi, János too. It was hard because many of them deny God and they know nothing from the Bible. Working in the kitchen was Zsuzsika and Eszter from Nyírszőlős.
Every morning we talked about confirmation in the 4 small groups: 1. On being ready for confirmation, Melis Orsolya (girl) church worker from Szarvas. 2. What is confirmation, Pastor Selmeczi Lajos from Monor. 3. Confirmation is like conversion, a new life, Pastor Horváth Ferenc from Cegléd. 4. Life after confirmation, in the Church, Pastor Györfi Mihály from Nyírszőlős.
Every afternoon we talked about church, about Sunday service, about prayer, the leader was Pastor Györfi, Mihály. Every evening the message was by Pastor Selmeczi. He spoke on Christ going to Calvary. Sunday afternoon was spent on the playground with the children.
We were very happy because some youth came through a miracle of God. A girl had electric accident five years ago and she was in coma for two months. She had amnesia so she has to learn everything again. She had never heard about Jesus before and she came in place of her sister. She loved the songs and she listened to the servants. In my small group I had two girls who had denied God. Now they see many things different than before and they're sure that the Lord lives.
Adrienn -12 years old- prayed last night:"My God, I didn't believe in You but now I thank You that I know You are. So...Yes. Amen!" It touched my heart. We talked to them all the time and the believing children talk to them too. The weather was cold and rainy. So we had many Bible games -find the Bible verse! Last day we had a contest where everyone won. We learned and played and we were rejoicing in the Lord. We could give them a Souvenir -a doorbell, when they hear it they will think of God.
Ádám, a boy, played with a camera and he opened it and the film was ruined. He had to pay for it but the boy (who had the camera) said that he did not have to pay the all money. That evening Ádám said that He was thankful to God because He and his brother got $1.50 for this week and the film was $2.
It was good to be together with them. Every week when I'm with children they're near to my heart. I know the Lord loves them through me. The love of Christ never gives out. It's more and more when we give it. I'm going to be stronger spiritually in every service. It's so good to talk about the day and be thankful for the conversations and that there wasn't any accident.
We ask you to continue to pray for the services and the youth because their parents don't know the Lord and the children are opened for many dangerous things. Like drinking, drugs, etc. So pray that we will find a way to reach them and that they will be open to the Lord. God bless all of you, your life and your ministry.

Editor's Note - Anna is the wife of Pastor Györfi who serves in Nyírszőlős. This week with confirmation age youth was a real good opportunity to reach unchurched youth for the Lord. Some money had been sent to help youth come to this camp that could not or would not otherwise come.
